Directly from our Nicaraguan farm, Granos Supremos! In Granos Supremos coffee, the acidity is more pronounced than you will find in the vast majority of Nicaraguan coffees but the flavors knit together quite well. The cup flavors have an unusual sweetness to them, sage, cola, and a bit of smokiness. It's not one of those simple, sweet clean Centrals. There are hints of cedar in both the fragrance and the cup flavors, with a crisp brightness in the initial sip. Bittersweet chocolate and nuts follow through from start to finish, and an almost piney note lingers. This savory, brothy quality is something I find as a very positive attribute in great Nicaraguan coffees. A brisk cup profile, chocolate, nuts, and cedary notes are what dominate here.
